The solution to increasing someone’s vertical, increasing their arm swing velocity or helping an athlete become more injury resistant seems to be cloaked in a shroud of mystery. Searching on the internet can reveal programs promising of incredible gains in minimal time. Many times these programs can be downright dangerous, often times resulting in repetitive stress injuries as opposed to helping the athlete out.
Through a well thought out progression, our goal is to maintain an injury free athlete while still improving on the necessary athletic skills which help a player dominate on the court. We take into consideration a players age and amount of time of previous training when constructing our sport specific workouts. Everything we do is age appropriate and geared towards improving the player on the court and not just in the weight room.
Each session consists of exercises designed to enhance the fundamental qualities crucial for success in all team sports:

Power
Speed
Strength
Flexiblity
Work Capacity
All while focusing on fixing any muscle weaknesses or technique flaws to help keep athletes healthy for their fall and winter seasons.
We at Prep Performance feel that weight training is one of the best ways to improve on the court performance. Though it is not the easiest in terms of effort needed by the athlete, it is one of the most overlooked and under utilized aspects of preparing for competition. With skills being equal, the stronger more powerful athlete will usually win out on the court. Training through Prep Performance will prepare you for that contest.
The following guidelines are put in place to help ensure a positive experience:
3 month minimum commitment to ensure the athlete receives an adequate training response. Payment options are available so as to not cause a large burden at the beginning of training.
Training is done in groups of up to 4 if so desired. Of course with more then one trainee this lowers costs and helps to make this training more affordable. Groups are kept small enough to ensure enough personal attention but also to allow some financial freedom.
Training is 3 times per week. Specific days and times are flexibile to allow for various other activities and to help suit transportation concerns. Please contact John at the below email address for available times.
Please contact John Grossman for more information on training programs being run around Central PA.
